Print is the oldest art for the people. Mass production of didactic materials for the illiterate. The print can be easily overlooked due to the overabundance of it's purely functional craft. T-shirts, dinnerware, glasses, hats, posters, books, music, newspapers ; they all take great skill. Screen printing, lithography, wood cut, engraving, letter, etching : they all take great skill. When approached with an artist intent of thought and form the print can art for the masses. From the two individual pieces and the installation from Fadingseven shown here we can gather that print as art is a contemporary and powerful art form. His work goes beyond reproduction to production of art.
